Ricoh launches its new camera, the Ricoh Caplio R7 which is a very exciting camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was presented on the North American market on the 28/8/07. It also supports a lower resolution of 3264 x 2176, 2592 x 1944, 2048 x 1536, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480. The sensor on the Caplio R7 is a CCD measuring only 1/2.5 having a RGB color filter. Ricoh included a digital zoom on the Caplio R7 and also added an internal flash which is always essential in a camera . The normal focus range is 30 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the Caplio R7 is 8 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds.

Movies are supported on this camera being a very useful function. The Ricoh Caplio R7 has an internal storage space of 24 mb extendable with SD/SDHC/MMC card + Internal. The LCD implemented in the Caplio R7 measures 2.7 ". There is also a video out output available making it handy to watch pictures on your television. Ricoh arrives this year with its new camera, the Ricoh Caplio R5 which is a great camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was presented in the US on the 24/8/06. This nice little piece of technology measures 96 x 55 x 26 mm while it weights only 165 g. The Caplio R5 has for maximum resolution 3072 x 2304. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2592 x 1944, 2048 x 1536, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480. The image ratio on the Ricoh Caplio R5 has been set at 4:3, making a camera of 7.1 mega pixels. The internal sensor on the Caplio R5 is a CCD which measures 1/2.5 " having a RGB color filter.
