The Caplio R4 can be set to a maximum resolution of 2816 x 2112. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2048 x 1563, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (w/h) on the Ricoh Caplio R4 is 4:3, 3:2, for a total of 6.0 mega pixels. The sensor of the Caplio R4 is a CCD which measures 1/2.5 " with a RGB color filter.
Ricoh added a digital zoom on its Caplio R4 with an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays . The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 30 cm.
