Ricoh Caplio RR1 digital cameraRicoh presents its new camera, the Ricoh Caplio RR1 which is a special camera and setting new standards in the market! It was announced in the US on the 12/11/01. The Ricoh Caplio RR1 was initially targeted at a retail price of 700in the US, considered affordable for such a camera. This model measures 135 x 74 x 27 mm and weights 340 g. The Caplio RR1 gets a maximum resolution of 2272 x 1704. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 1120 x 840, 640 x 480. The image ratio (width / height) on the Ricoh Caplio RR1 has been set at 4:3, making a total of 3.9 mega pixels. The sensor of the Caplio RR1 is a CCD which measures only 1/1.8 " with a RGB color filter.
Ricoh implemented a digital zoom on the Caplio RR1 and also added an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the main subject is 24 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the Caplio RR1 is 8 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/2000 seconds. Movies are supported in this model which is always a useful function. The Ricoh Caplio RR1 camera has an internal storage of 8 mb and can be extended with Internal + SmartMedia.
The LCD implemented in the Caplio RR1 is measuring 2.0 ". There is also a video out output available allowing you to watch your pictures on TV. USB connectivity to a computer is supported.
